Xavier Musketeers fall to Ohio State 8-4 with Owen Poole on the mound

On Wednesday, March 18, at 3 p.m., Owen Poole—who previously played for Newark High School—pitched for the Xavier Musketeers as they were defeated 8-4 by the Ohio State Buckeyes in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.

The matchup occurred at J. Page Hayden Field and marked the second meeting between these teams this season. In their earlier contest on Wednesday, March 4, the Musketeers secured a 13-4 win over the Buckeyes.

Poole gave up four earned runs in 2.2 innings, tallying one walk and two strikeouts.

Xavier’s next game is set for Friday, March 20, at J. Page Hayden Field against the Wofford Terriers.
