State Representatives Bride Rose Sweeney and Kevin Miller, along with State Senator Tom Patton, are set to present bipartisan legislation aimed at prohibiting ticket and arrest quotas for law enforcement officers. The announcement will take place during a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, February 26th at 9:00 am EST in the Senate Harding Press Briefing Room at the Ohio Statehouse.

The proposed legislation seeks to define a quota as any requirement mandating a specific number of arrests or citations within a given time frame that local or state police officers must fulfill.

The event will feature participation from the Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association and the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio. The press conference can be viewed via livestream on the Ohio Channel.
