FOIA Request to Licking County Regarding Vendor Payments from January 1, 2024, till September 26, 2024.
In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Licking Today have sent a request under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., to Licking County. The request pertains specifically to all payments made to vendors within the specified period.
The requested records include the following fields: Vendor Name, Transaction Date, Transaction Description, and Amount. These details are essential for us to understand and report on how public funds are being spent within the county.
As a media organization committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such records is crucial. We believe that our role in disseminating information makes us eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
