On Monday, January 16 at 7:00 pm, the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission will host the 34th annual tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event will be held virtually on the City of Bowling Green’s YouTube Live channel.
During this event, the Drum Major for Peace Award will be presented. This award is given to someone who benefits the BG community and exemplifies the teaching and the values of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr—courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, humility, and service. This year’s recipient is Ryan Wichman.
The tribute will feature keynote speaker Katie Bochi, a NICU Speech-Language Pathologist and active member of the Wood County Plays steering committee. Various musical selections will be performed by Mike Williams on Sax and BGSU Music College Faculty Ariel Kasler.
