City of Reynoldsburg issued the following announcement on January 24.
The Grant Program is designed to assist new businesses or expanding businesses within Reynoldsburg. The hope is to diversify and improve our commercial offerings for the betterment of Reynoldsburg as a whole. The program was created in 2021 with the spirit, and intent of lifting our minority-owned, or female-led businesses.
To be considered as a minority-owned business, a company must be at least 51-percent owned, operated, and controlled by a minimum of one person whose ethnic background is at least 25-percent Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Hispanic, or Native American.
Women-owned businesses must be at least 51-percent owned, operated, and controlled by one or more women and a woman must lead the company’s day-to-day activities. Management and daily operation must be controlled by one or more of the women owners.
Veteran-owned businesses are defined as at least 51-percent of the business must be directly and unconditionally owned by one or more veterans or service-disabled veterans.
Applicants are asked to demonstrate how, if awarded a grant, they will use the funds to make improvements, including how the grant will help sustain their business.
