Mount Vernon median home prices rose by 18.4% in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Mount Vernon rose by $23,605 while total sales decreased by 12.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 116 homes sold, with a median sale price of $152,005 - a 18.4% increase over the $128,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 133 homes sold in Mount Vernon in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,259, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
