Fredericktown home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Fredericktown rose by $19,553 while total sales decreased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $118,000 - a 19.9% increase over the $98,448 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Fredericktown in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Fredericktown for 2018 was $1,369. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,342. This marks an increase of 2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
