Danville home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Danville rose by $3,500 while total sales remained unchanged with four homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,000 - a 4.6% increase over the $76,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Danville in the second half of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Danville for 2018 was $989. In 2017, the median sales tax was $953. This marks an increase of 3.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
