Gambier home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Gambier fell by $110,000 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 44.9% decrease over the $245,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Gambier in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Gambier for 2018 was $2,286. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,132. This marks an increase of 7.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
