City of Mount Vernon issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
The City of Mount Vernon Street Department is accepting applications for seasonal employment. These positions are to work on the annual leaf pick-up crew. They are physically demanding jobs lasting approximately 4 weeks. Interested applicants may pick up and return applications in the office of the Safety Service Director, 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Applications can also be e-mailed to mtvstreet@mountvernonohio.org. APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING.
