Cost of college went up for all students at Denison University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Denison University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $51,960 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,520 more than the $50,440 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 580 students received grants or scholarships totaling $17 million and 272 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,394), 2,242 students used grants or scholarships totaling $72.8 million, and 915 students took out $6.1 million in federal student loans.
