On Friday, March 22, former Newark High School standout Emma Shumate’s current collegiate team the Ohio State Buckeyes won 80-57 against the Maine Black Bears in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Columbus, Ohio, this was the first game against the Maine Black Bears during the championship.

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ next game will take place on Sunday, March 24 at 12 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio against Duke Blue Devils.
